Security upgrades following Sunderland home invasion

According to an article published on 26 November 2024 by Standard, reality television star Charlotte Crosby has implemented significant security upgrades at her Sunderland home following a burglary attempt. The incident occurred earlier this month when a group of four balaclava-clad intruders entered the property while the resident was inside with her family.

Standard reports that one of the individuals was armed with a machete. The intruders were confronted by Crosby’s fiancé, Jake Ankers, who chased them from the residence. Following the event, the couple has reportedly tripled their security measures, which now include 24/7 surveillance, additional cameras, sensors, security dogs, and on-site guards provided by Asset Watch International.

Crosby, who is eight months pregnant, noted that she has been living in fear since the intrusion. She was subsequently hospitalised due to stomach pains, though she confirmed that her baby is doing well. The couple stated that these extensive measures were necessary to restore a sense of safety for their family.
