According to an article published by the BBC on 19 May 2026, police are investigating a burglary at The Limehouse in Clevedon, North Somerset. Three men were captured on CCTV breaking into the premises at approximately 02:00 BST on Saturday. The suspects removed a safe from the office, reportedly using a waste food bin to transport it.

The venue's co-owner, David Jones, confirmed that the safe contained staff tips. Avon and Somerset Police have stated that forensics officers have examined the scene and that enquiries are currently ongoing. The business has since upgraded its security measures, including the installation of a motion-detector alarm system and the implementation of new cash handling procedures. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
