Burglary Suspects Detained Near Spencerport Following High-Speed Police Pursuit

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A group of burglary suspects is in police custody following a vehicle pursuit and subsequent search that concluded near the town of Spencerport. The incident began when officers responded to a reported burglary in the city of Rochester, where suspects fled the scene upon police arrival.

The suspects took off in a vehicle, leading law enforcement officers on a pursuit through local roads. The chase eventually ended near Spencerport, where the suspects abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot into the surrounding area. Police immediately established a perimeter and launched a comprehensive search operation involving multiple local agencies, police K-9 units, and aerial surveillance.

After a thorough search of the area, officers located and detained the suspects without further incident. The Rochester Police Department, in conjunction with Monroe County Sheriff's deputies, is handling the investigation. The suspects are facing multiple charges, including burglary, grand larceny, and fleeing police officers in a motor vehicle.
