CCTV appeal launched after violent street robbery in Weston-super-Mare

Detectives in Weston-super-Mare have launched a public appeal, releasing CCTV images of a person they wish to identify, following a violent robbery that left a man assaulted and his wallet stolen. The incident took place in a public area of the town, prompting an immediate investigation by local officers.

According to Avon and Somerset Police, the victim was approached by an offender who used physical force to assault him before demanding his personal belongings. The suspect managed to steal the victim's wallet containing cash, bank cards, and identification, before fleeing the area on foot. The victim sustained minor physical injuries and was left shaken by the encounter.

Police are reviewing nearby security cameras and have published images of an individual seen in the area around the time of the robbery.
