CCTV Appeal Launched Following Burglary at Erdington Petrol Station

West Midlands Police are investigating a burglary at a petrol station located in the Erdington district of Birmingham. The break-in took place at approximately 11:30 pm on Sunday, 22 February 2026.

During the incident, which occurred at a fuel station on Tyburn Road (believed to be the Texaco service station), an offender managed to gain access and steal a sum of cash before leaving the scene. Detectives have conducted local enquiries and reviewed CCTV footage from the surrounding area as part of their ongoing investigation.

Suspect Description and CCTV Appeal

Officers have now released an image of a man they believe could have vital information to assist with their enquiries. The individual was captured on CCTV wearing a hooded jacket and a grey beanie hat.

A West Midlands Police spokesperson commented: "Recognise this man? Weโ€™d like to speak to him as part of a burglary investigation in Erdington. Cash was stolen from a fuel station on Tyburn Road at around 11.30pm on Sunday, February 22. Weโ€™re carrying out a number of enquiries including reviewing CCTV."

The police are urging anyone who recognizes the man in the CCTV image, or who has information that could assist the inquiry, to get in touch. Information can be provided by calling the non-emergency number 101 and quoting the crime reference 20/157274/26.
