CCTV Captures Masked Intruders in Late-Night Raid on Aberdeen's Historic Fittie Bar
ABERDEEN โ Police are investigating a late-night burglary at the historic Fittie Bar in Aberdeen after security cameras captured masked robbers raiding the premises. The owners of the popular establishment have shared CCTV footage in hopes that members of the public can help identify the suspects.
The incident occurred during the quiet hours of Monday, January 15, well after the bar had closed for the evening. The CCTV footage shows masked individuals forcing their way into the building through a rear entrance. Once inside, they systematically searched the premises, targeting the cash register and selected inventory before fleeing back into the night.
The Fittie Bar, situated in the historic Footdee area of Aberdeen, is a well-known community landmark. The break-in has caused significant distress to the owners and staff, who discovered the break-in when opening the premises the following morning. The intruders caused considerable damage to the entry point and interior fixtures during the raid.
Police Scotland officers have visited the venue to gather evidence, download the security footage, and conduct local inquiries. Investigators are analyzing the clothing and movements of the individuals shown in the video to see if they can link the incident to other recent commercial burglaries in the city.
A police spokesperson urged witnesses to come forward: "We are appealing for information regarding a break-in at a licensed premises in Aberdeen.
