Burglary at Dougie Mac charity warehouse

According to an article published by Stokesentinel on 27 January 2026, Staffordshire Police are investigating a burglary at a Dougie Mac charity warehouse and shop located in Burslem. Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:45 a.m. on Monday, 26 January, following reports of a break-in.

Stokesentinel reports that a door was damaged during the incident and various donated items were stolen from the premises. The hospice has described the event as devastating for their staff, volunteers, and local supporters. Despite the damage, the shop was able to open as normal following the incident.

Staffordshire Police are currently appealing for any witnesses or individuals who may possess CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from the area at the time of the burglary. Those with information are encouraged to contact the force on 101, quoting incident 52 of 26 January. The investigation remains ongoing.

Business owners are encouraged to regularly inspect their premises and ensure all security systems, including alarms and surveillance cameras, are fully operational.
