Chicago Dad-to-Be Killed by Robber Fleeing Scene

A Chicago man was tragically killed by a robber fleeing the scene of a smash-and-grab robbery just one day before his son was born, according to police. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in the 400 block of North Lake Shore Drive. The victim, a 32-year-old man, was struck by a vehicle as the robber fled the scene. The robber had smashed the window of a nearby store and stolen an estimated $5,000 worth of merchandise. The victim was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

The Chicago Police Department is appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect.
