Commercial Burglary Leads to High-Speed Vehicle Pursuit in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, FL — Local law enforcement agencies are searching for multiple suspects after a commercial burglary escalated into a high-speed vehicle pursuit through Jacksonville.

According to police reports, officers responded to an alarm at a local business. Upon arrival, they spotted suspects attempting to flee the scene in a vehicle. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the driver sped off, initiating a pursuit that wound through several local streets.

Suspects Abandon Vehicle

The pursuit ended when the suspects abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot into a nearby wooded area. K-9 units and helicopter support were called to assist in searching the perimeter, but the suspects managed to evade immediate capture.

Authorities have impounded the abandoned vehicle and are processing it for forensic evidence. Investigators are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the targeted business and neighboring areas to identify the individuals involved. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
