Crooked River Ranch Resident Charged in Armed Robbery of Redmond Cafe

REDMOND, Oregon — A Crooked River Ranch man has been arrested and charged after allegedly robbing a Redmond cafe at gunpoint on Halloween night. The frightening encounter occurred when a male suspect entered the establishment, pointed a firearm at employees, and demanded cash from the register.

After securing an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the cafe on foot. Redmond Police Department officers, along with assistance from neighboring law enforcement agencies, immediately set up a perimeter and searched the area. Following a detailed investigation, detectives identified the suspect as a resident of Crooked River Ranch. He was located and arrested, subsequently being charged with first-degree robbery, menacing, and theft.
