Dallas Police Identify Suspect Arnold Sustaita Zapata in Deadly 2023 Home Invasion

DALLAS, Texas — The Dallas Police Department has identified a suspect wanted on a capital murder charge in connection with a deadly home invasion in late 2023 that left one man dead.

The Incident

On December 30, 2023, three suspects allegedly forced their way into a residence in the 4400 block of South St. Augustine Drive at the Maderas Apartments. Inside the residence, the suspects shot 24-year-old Juvenal Antero. Antero was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Suspect Identified

Authorities have identified 26-year-old Arnold Sustaita Zapata as one of the three suspects. Zapata remains at large and is described as 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing approximately 260 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Surveillance video captured at the time of the crime showed the suspects fleeing the scene in a red Kia Soul.

Call for Public Assistance

Police are seeking the public's help in identifying the remaining two suspects and locating Zapata. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to contact Dallas police immediately.
