Darien Business Burglary Leaves Behind Nearly $10,000 in Structural Damage

DARIEN, CT — Police are looking for suspects after a commercial burglary at a local store resulted in extensive property destruction, with cleanup and structural repair costs estimated at nearly $10,000.

The incident was reported when employees arriving in the morning found the main entrance heavily damaged. According to police reports, the suspects used heavy tools to force their way through the door, destroying the frame and shattering nearby glass panels. Once inside, the intruders ransacked the counter area and damaged internal fixtures while searching for valuables.

Darien Police detectives have processed the scene for fingerprints and DNA evidence. Surveillance footage from nearby security cameras is being analyzed to identify the suspects and any getaway vehicle. Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious vehicles parked near the storefront during the night to come forward.
