Deputies Respond After Victim Robbed Inside Barnes & Noble at Mall of Victor Valley

VICTORVILLE, Calif. — San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a robbery inside the Barnes & Noble bookstore at the Mall of Victor Valley on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

The incident occurred on August 12, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m. at the popular retail center located in the 14400 block of Bear Valley Road. According to initial reports, deputies from the Victorville Police Station were dispatched quickly after receiving calls about a theft that escalated into a robbery inside the store.

Details regarding what was stolen and whether any weapons were brandished during the confrontation have not been immediately released. No major injuries were reported at the scene, though the victim was reportedly shaken by the encounter. Deputies conducted a search of the immediate area and the shopping mall property, but the suspects had already fled prior to law enforcement's arrival.
