According to an article published by Birminghammail on 28 December 2025, West Midlands Police are investigating a distraction burglary that occurred at a private residence in Coventry. The incident took place on 13 December at approximately 3pm on Sewall Highway.

Birminghammail reports that a man gained access to the property by posing as a gardener. During the encounter, a handbag was stolen from the home. Although authorities have conducted CCTV trawls, they have so far been unable to identify the suspect. Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the investigation, acknowledging that the image is not clear but hoping for public assistance.
