East Boston Store Robbed by Machete-Wielding Suspects; One Arrested, Second Sought

EAST BOSTON, MA — Boston Police have apprehended one individual and are launching an active manhunt for a second suspect following a violent armed robbery at a local establishment in East Boston. The incident involved two suspects, at least one of whom was armed with a large machete to threaten store workers.

According to law enforcement officials, the suspects entered the retail store and brandished the weapon, demanding cash and merchandise. The store employees, fearing for their safety, complied with the demands before the suspects fled the scene. Responding officers were able to track down and arrest one of the suspects shortly after the robbery occurred.

However, the second suspect, who is accused of directly wielding the machete during the confrontation, remains at large. Police departments have circulated descriptions and surveillance images in an effort to identify the fugitive.
