Eight NYC Lululemon and Alo Stores Targeted in $56,000 Athleisure Theft Ring Spree

NEW YORK, NY — A series of highly coordinated grab-and-go thefts has targeted eight different Lululemon and Alo Yoga locations across Manhattan, resulting in the loss of over $56,000 in premium athleisure wear, police reported.

The operations, described as an organized retail crime ring, typically involved groups of individuals entering the high-traffic stores simultaneously, grabbing stacks of high-value athletic apparel, and running past security before employees could intervene. The targeted stores span several key shopping corridors, including SoHo, the Flatiron District, and the Upper West Side.

Law enforcement officials are working with retail security teams to identify the suspects, who are believed to be reselling the stolen leggings, jackets, and hoodies online and through illicit local markets.
