Elderly Fort Worth Woman Escapes Violent Home Invasion and Assault

FORT WORTH, Texas — A 77-year-old woman is recovering after escaping a violent home invasion and assault at her residence in south Fort Worth, according to police reports.

The incident occurred on a Tuesday when one or more intruders forced entry into the victim's house. Once inside, the suspects confronted the elderly resident, resulting in a physical assault. Despite her age and the terrifying nature of the attack, the woman managed to escape the home and seek help from neighbors, who immediately contacted law enforcement.

Fort Worth Police officers responded to the scene and began a sweep of the neighborhood, but the suspects had already fled. Paramedics treated the victim for injuries sustained during the assault, and she is expected to recover.
