Theft at Currys in Worthing

According to an article published on 20 October 2025, five males from Portsmouth have been arrested following a raid at the Currys electronics store located on Lyons Way in Worthing. The incident, which involved the theft of a large quantity of mobile phones, occurred on 6 October.

Portsmouth reports that a black Renault was tracked by officers following the event, leading to the detention of the occupants. The group consisted of a 19-year-old man and four boys aged 14 and 15. The four younger suspects have since been charged with shop theft and are scheduled to appear before Worthing Youth Court on 4 November.

Sussex Police have stated that the investigation is ongoing and are appealing for any witnesses with CCTV, dashcam, or mobile phone footage to come forward. Members of the public are requested to avoid sharing footage of the incident on social media to prevent interference with the legal proceedings. Information can be reported to the police by quoting serial 1157 of 06/10.
