Eleven Suspects Apprehended in Lakeland After Burglary of Active-Duty Service Member's Residence

LAKELAND, FL — In a major enforcement operation, eleven suspects have been arrested and charged following a residential burglary targeting the home of an active-duty U.S. military service member in Lakeland.

The burglary occurred while the homeowner was deployed, making the residence a target for the group. Alert neighbors noticed unusual activity at the home and immediately notified the authorities. Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office, along with Lakeland Police officers, responded in force, surrounding the perimeter of the home.

Multiple individuals attempted to flee the scene, but law enforcement established a secure perimeter, utilizing K-9 units and aviation support to track down the fleeing suspects. In total, eleven suspects were taken into custody. Investigators recovered stolen property and are currently working to determine if the group is linked to other neighborhood burglaries.
