Father Killed in Shootout After Tracking Stolen Truck to North Houston Gas Station

HOUSTON, Texas — A search for a stolen vehicle ended in tragedy at a north Houston gas station when a father tracking his son's stolen truck was shot and killed during a shootout with robbery suspects. Investigators report that the family had traced the vehicle's location using tracking technology and decided to confront the suspects at the gas station.

The confrontation quickly turned violent, with gunfire exchanged between the suspects and the victim. According to witness statements, the chaotic scene resulted in the father receiving fatal wounds. Family members, including the victim's nephew, were present at the location and witnessed the shootout. A relative shared the heartbreak of having to see his uncle die in front of him outside the business.

The suspects fled the scene immediately after the shooting and remain at large. The Houston Police Department is investigating the homicide and has strongly warned the public against confronting armed criminals.
