Fayetteville Police Search for Suspect in Tobacco Store Armed Robbery

FAYETTEVILLE, North Carolina — Fayetteville police are requesting help from the community to identify a suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery at a local tobacco store. The incident took place during the afternoon hours in Fayetteville.

Police reports indicate that the suspect entered the establishment, approached the counter under the pretense of making a purchase, and then produced a firearm. The suspect demanded that the clerk hand over cash from the register. Once the money was handed over, the suspect fled the store on foot in an unknown direction.

No injuries were reported to the store employees or customers during the robbery. Investigators have released descriptions of the suspect obtained from store security cameras and are urging anyone who might recognize the individual or have information regarding the crime to contact the Fayetteville Police Department.
