FBI Joins Hunt for Suspects in Armed Robbery of New York Jewelry Store in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Virginia — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Chesapeake Police Department have launched a joint investigation into a daring armed robbery at the New York Jewelry Store, located inside the Greenbrier Mall. The robbery occurred on October 9, 2025, and investigators are now pleading for the public's help to identify and locate the two men responsible.

According to federal and local authorities, two male suspects entered the retail store during business hours, brandishing a weapon and demanding high-value merchandise. The suspects fled the scene shortly after with an undisclosed amount of jewelry. Due to the involvement of firearms and the crossing of jurisdictional interests, the FBI has taken an active role alongside local detectives to track down the fugitives.

Surveillance Footage Released

To aid the investigation, law enforcement agencies have released surveillance footage showing the suspects inside the jewelry store.
