Firearm Theft and Mass Storage Unit Break-Ins Investigated at Norwalk Facility

NORWALK, CT — The Norwalk Police Department has launched an active investigation after a major heist at a local self-storage facility left nearly 90 individual storage units compromised and multiple firearms stolen.

According to police reports, officers responded to the storage facility after management discovered extensive damage to unit locks. Police determined that perpetrators had systematically bypassed security measures, cutting locks and searching through dozens of units during the overnight hours. Among the stolen items were several registered firearms, raising significant concern among local law enforcement agencies.

Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the facility and surrounding businesses.
