Five Suspects Face Charges After Southwest Fort Wayne Circle K Robbery

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Law enforcement officials have arrested five suspects following a strong-arm robbery at a Circle K gas station on Engle Road in southwest Fort Wayne on the evening of Friday, May 8, 2026.

The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of a disturbance and robbery at the convenience store located in the 3700 block of Engle Road around 6:25 p.m. According to initial reports, a group of five individuals—consisting of three women and two men—entered the business. An argument ensued, which quickly turned physical when one of the suspects assaulted a store clerk.

During the altercation, members of the group vandalized the property, causing an estimated $15,000 in damages. The suspects then fled the scene in a single vehicle.

Coordinated Effort Leads to Arrests

Shortly after the incident, an Indiana State Police trooper spotted a vehicle matching the description provided by witnesses traveling nearby. The trooper conducted a traffic stop and detained all five occupants without incident.

The suspects have been identified as Shaniya Arnold, Denasia Williams, Denise Williams, Christopher Harris, and Devon Stewart. All five have been booked into the Allen County Jail on charges including robbery and criminal mischief.

The clerk involved in the assault was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The Fort Wayne Police Department continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the robbery.
