Fleeing Stoke-on-Trent Burglars Crash Getaway Vehicle Off-Road in Dramatic Police Chase

Staffordshire Police have launched a full investigation following a high-speed pursuit in the early hours of the morning, where suspected burglars took their vehicle off-road to evade capture. The dramatic incident began when officers responded to reports of an ongoing break-in at a residential property in Stoke-on-Trent. Upon arriving near the scene, police identified a vehicle acting suspiciously, which immediately fled when officers attempted to stop it.

The chase escalated rapidly through Hanley and surrounding areas, with the suspects driving recklessly, ignoring traffic signals, and endangering other road users. In a final, desperate attempt to escape the pursuing police cars, the driver veered off the public highway onto rough, unpaved terrain. However, the maneuver failed as the vehicle became stuck in mud, allowing officers to quickly secure the perimeter.

Police dogs and support helicopters were deployed to assist in detaining the suspects who tried to flee on foot. Staffordshire Police are calling on anyone with dashcam footage or information about the incident to contact them immediately.
