Former Parolee Apprehended in $10,000 St. George Jewelry Store Theft
ST. GEORGE, Utah — A suspect with a prior criminal record is back in custody after allegedly executing a $10,000 theft from a St. George jewelry store in late October.
According to reports from the St. George Police Department, officers arrested a male suspect identified as a former parolee following a theft investigation. The incident occurred when the suspect allegedly entered the store and managed to steal high-value jewelry pieces. Using security footage and eyewitness statements, investigators identified the suspect and subsequently took him into custody without further incident.
The suspect has been booked into the local jail on felony theft charges. Authorities highlighted that the collaboration between local retail security teams and responding patrol officers was key to resolving the case quickly and recovering a portion of the stolen merchandise. Legal proceedings are currently pending.
