Fort Worth Homeowner Shoots Armed Intruder During Masked Home Invasion

FORT WORTH, Texas — A local resident took extreme self-defense measures when two armed intruders wearing ski masks forced their way into his Fort Worth home, resulting in a shootout and a daring escape.

According to the Fort Worth Police Department, the incident took place on a Friday. The two masked suspects, both carrying firearms, breached the entry of the home. Confronted with immediate danger, the homeowner retrieved a firearm and shot at least one of the suspects. In the chaos of the gunfire, the homeowner managed to make his escape by jumping through a window of the house to seek help.

Police officers dispatched to the residence found evidence of a shootout, but both suspects had fled the scene before their arrival. Authorities are searching local hospitals to see if any individuals with gunshot wounds matching the incident timeline have checked in. The homeowner sustained minor injuries from the window escape but was otherwise unharmed.
