Four Arrested and Seven Detained Following Margate Commercial Burglary

MARGATE, FL — A commercial burglary investigation in Margate led to a major law enforcement response on Monday, January 12, 2026, resulting in the arrest of four suspects, the temporary detention of seven individuals, and one person being transported to a local hospital.

According to the Margate Police Department, officers responded to an active report of a burglary at a local business. Upon arriving at the scene, responding officers observed several suspects attempting to flee, prompting the establishment of a secure perimeter and a coordinated tactical search. Local roads in the vicinity were briefly blocked off as canine units and patrol officers searched the area.

During the sweep, police detained a total of seven individuals for questioning. Following initial investigations, four of these individuals were officially arrested and charged with commercial burglary, grand theft, and resisting arrest without violence. One suspect sustained injuries while attempting to evade officers and was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation. They are reported to be in stable condition.
