Four Charged After Robbing DeWitt Smoke Shop of $15,000 in Merchandise

DEWITT, N.Y. โ€” Four individuals have been arrested and charged following a robbery at a local smoke shop in DeWitt, where approximately $15,000 worth of merchandise was stolen.

According to the DeWitt Police Department, the incident took place when the suspects entered the business and quickly loaded up large quantities of inventory before fleeing. Following a swift investigation and response by local patrol officers, the individuals were located and taken into custody shortly after the incident.

Police recovered a significant portion of the stolen merchandise during the arrests. The four suspects face charges grand larceny and robbery. They are currently being held pending arraignment in local court. Authorities praised the rapid action of the officers involved in tracking down the suspects and securing the stolen goods.
