Fuel theft reported at business in New Aberdour
According to an article published on 10 April 2026 by Aberdeenlive, police have launched an appeal following a break-in at a business premises near the village of New Aberdour in Aberdeenshire.
Aberdeenlive reports that the incident occurred between 8pm on Sunday, March 29, and 7am on Monday, March 30. During the break-in, thieves forced entry into the site and stole a substantial quantity of diesel fuel from various vehicles and machinery stored on the premises.
Police Scotland is currently investigating the theft and has requested that anyone with relevant information contact them by calling 101 or by using the online contact form on the Police Scotland website. Reports can also be made anonymously through the charity Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111, quoting reference number PS-20263003-0869.
Business owners are encouraged to implement robust security measures, such as installing high-quality locking systems and surveillance cameras, to protect fuel supplies and equipment from unauthorized access.
