Fulton River District 7-Eleven Burglarized Twice Within Minutes, Chicago Police Say

A 7-Eleven store in Chicago's Fulton River District was targeted in a rapid succession of burglaries, with suspects striking the same location twice within a span of just minutes, according to the Chicago Police Department.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Halsted Street and Milwaukee Avenue. Police report that an initial group of individuals broke into the convenience store, stole merchandise, and quickly fled. Shortly thereafter, a second set of offenders entered the already breached storefront to loot additional items before police could secure the scene.

Local business owners and residents express growing concern over the brazenness of these back-to-back commercial burglaries. The intersection, which serves as a busy transit corridor, has seen increased security presence as police investigate whether the two incidents were coordinated or opportunistic crimes of opportunity.

No suspects are currently in custody, and CPD is asking anyone with information or security camera footage of the intersection at Halsted and Milwaukee to contact Area detectives.
