Gainesville Man Wearing Elf Costume Charged in Armed Robbery Caught on Camera

GAINESVILLE, Florida — In one of the area’s more unusual criminal cases, a local 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an armed robbery where the suspect was dressed in a full elf costume. The dramatic incident, which was captured on store security cameras, has drawn significant attention due to both the suspect's bizarre disguise and his subsequent arrest months later.

Law enforcement authorities report that the robbery took place when the suspect entered a local retail establishment wearing the holiday-themed elf attire.
