Glass-Smashing Burglary Suspect Targets Six Boca Raton Stores Before Police Arrest

BOCA RATON, FL — A commercial burglary suspect was taken into custody after a destructive late-night crime spree targeting six retail establishments across Boca Raton, causing extensive property damage and fleeing with cash.

According to investigators, the suspect utilized a heavy tool or brick to smash through the front glass doors of successive businesses. Once inside, the perpetrator targeted register drawers and safes, collecting a total of approximately $800 in currency before moving on to the next storefront.

The swift succession of break-ins triggered automated silent alarms at multiple locations, prompting a rapid response from the Boca Raton Police Department. Officers established a perimeter around the commercial corridor and successfully intercepted the suspect as they attempted to flee the scene of the sixth burglary.
