Goodlettsville Police Search for Four Armed Robbers Who Burned Getaway Car

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tennessee — A manhunt is underway in Goodlettsville after four armed robbers set fire to their own getaway vehicle in an apparent attempt to destroy evidence following a robbery.

The Goodlettsville Police Department reported that the four suspects, all armed, executed a robbery before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. Shortly after the crime, emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle fire nearby. Firefighters extinguished the flames, only for investigators to determine that the vehicle was the getaway car used in the robbery and had been intentionally set ablaze.

Arson and crime scene investigators are examining the charred remains of the vehicle for any forensic clues. Police believe the suspects abandoned the burning car and likely transferred to another vehicle to escape. Officers are canvassing neighboring businesses and residential areas for security camera footage that may have captured the suspects during the vehicle switch.
