Group targets children in Croyland Gardens robberies in Wellingborough

Police have launched an urgent appeal after receiving three separate reports of a group threatening and robbing children in Wellingborough's Croyland Gardens.

The incidents targeted vulnerable youngsters aged between 11 and 16. In each report, a group of suspects confronted the children, using threats of violence to steal personal belongings. The victims were left highly distressed by the encounters in the public park, which is a popular spot for local families and children.

Northamptonshire Police have increased patrols in the Croyland Gardens area to reassure the public and deter further offences. Detectives are actively investigating the reports and are seeking to identify the members of the group responsible for these targeted robberies.

Parents and guardians are urged to speak with their children about safety awareness when out in public. Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in Croyland Gardens or has information about the group involved is asked to contact police immediately.
