Gunfire Erupts in Murfreesboro Pike Parking Lot: One Fatal, Another Injured in Suspected Robbery

NASHVILLE, TN — An early morning confrontation on Murfreesboro Pike escalated into gunfire on Saturday, May 17, 2025, leaving one suspected robber dead and another hospitalized with gunshot wounds. Metro Nashville Police officers responded to reports of shots fired in a commercial parking lot along the busy thoroughfare.

According to investigators, the incident began as an attempted robbery. During the encounter, gunfire was exchanged, striking two of the suspected robbers. One individual died at the scene from their injuries, while the second suspect was transported to a local hospital under police guard with non-life-threatening injuries.
