Hickory Hill Robbery Suspect Checked Store Hours Before Committing Heist

MEMPHIS, TN — Authorities in Memphis have arrested a man accused of a business robbery in the Hickory Hill area, noting a highly unusual detail in the suspect's preparation: he allegedly verified the store's hours of operation right before carrying out the crime.

According to the Memphis Police Department, the suspect walked into the retail store and inquired with staff about when the store closed. Shortly thereafter, he brandished a weapon, demanded cash from the register, and fled the premises. Investigators utilized surveillance footage and witness accounts to track the suspect, leading to his arrest within 24 hours of the incident.
