High-value burglary at a private residence in Alderley Edge

According to an article published by Express on 2 March 2025, Cheshire Police are investigating a professional burglary that occurred at a detached property on Macclesfield Road in Alderley Edge. The incident took place on Monday, 17 February, between 7pm and 11pm.

Express reports that unknown offenders gained access to the property by using a ladder to enter through a skylight. The burglars stole over 100 designer handbags, including rare Hermes Birkin and Kelly models, alongside a Cartier watch and other jewelry. The total value of the stolen items is estimated at over £1 million. The victim is currently offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

Detective Sergeant Laura Fox has urged anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage to contact the authorities as the investigation continues. Cheshire Police are also seeking leads regarding the current location of the stolen goods.

Ensure that all skylights and upper-floor windows are properly secured with high-quality locks to prevent unauthorized access.
