According to an article published on 14 April 2025 by Walesonline, a major investigation is underway following a high-value burglary at a bike shop in Mid Wales. The incident occurred on the evening of Saturday, April 12, at approximately 9.30pm.
Walesonline reports that a group of four men, all wearing balaclavas, targeted a property located on the Glan Yr Afon Industrial Estate in Llanbadarn Fawr, Aberystwyth. The suspects reportedly loaded a large quantity of electric bikes, valued at more than £150,000, into a light silver Luton van before fleeing the scene.
Dyfed-Powys Police are currently appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant information to come forward. Investigators are specifically requesting that local residents and business owners check any available CCTV or ring doorbell footage. Furthermore, motorists who were driving in the vicinity at the time of the raid are asked to review their dashcam recordings. Those with information can contact the police via their website, by calling 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers, quoting reference “61 of the 13th”.
Business owners are encouraged to review their security measures, including the installation of high-quality alarm systems and reinforced entry points, to deter unauthorized access.
