Hog Wild Restaurant Burglarized in Smash-and-Grab Targeting Gaming Machines

NEW LENOX, IL — The New Lenox Police Department is investigating a smash-and-grab burglary at Hog Wild restaurant where video gaming machines were targeted for cash.

According to police reports, the break-in occurred during the overnight hours. The perpetrators forced entry into the establishment by smashing through an outer door or window. Once inside, they focused specifically on the video gaming terminals, breaking them open to access the cash bins inside.

Officers responded to the alarm call and documented the damage. The restaurant was forced to clean up debris and secure the premises. NLPD is reviewing surveillance video from the scene and surrounding properties to identify the individuals involved in the heist.
