Despite the homeowners changing their locks following the initial break-in, the offenders returned to the property a second time. According to Nine, the burglars used an angle grinder to bypass a steering wheel lock and stole the couple's 2016 Hyundai. The vehicle was subsequently linked to another robbery in St Albans. The victims have expressed significant distress regarding the violation of their home and the loss of their property.
