Police investigate residential burglary in Dunbar

According to an article published by the Scotsman on 6 February 2026, police are searching for a group of five masked men following a residential burglary in Dunbar, East Lothian. The incident occurred at a home on Reid Avenue at approximately 7pm on Friday, 23 January 2026.

The suspects reportedly stole jewellery and cash from the property before fleeing the scene in a white Audi A4. According to the Scotsman, the vehicle was using cloned registration plates beginning with YM11. Detective Constable Ishbel Inglis has confirmed that enquiries are ongoing to identify the men and locate the vehicle.

Authorities are appealing for anyone with information regarding the suspects or the whereabouts of the car to contact the police by calling 101, quoting reference number 2914 of 23 January 2026. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers.
