Residential burglary in Dunbar

According to an article published by Edinburghlive on 9 February 2026, a masked gang targeted a private home in Dunbar. The incident occurred on 23 January, when five men entered the property on Reid Avenue and removed a safe containing cash and jewellery.

Edinburghlive reports that the suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a white Audi A4, which was later identified as using cloned registration plates beginning with YM11. During the raid, the group reportedly confronted and kicked a neighbour who attempted to intervene.

Police Scotland is currently investigating the incident. Detective Constable Ishbel Inglis has issued an appeal for information, urging anyone who saw the vehicle in the Dunbar area to come forward.
