Police investigate residential break-in in Winchburgh

According to Edinburghlive, police are searching for two men following a burglary at a private home in Winchburgh. The incident occurred on Church View at approximately 2:10 pm on Thursday, 11 December 2025.

The two suspects, described as wearing balaclavas, dark clothing, and gloves, gained entry to the property. According to the report, nothing was stolen during the incident. Following the break-in, the pair fled the scene on a motorbike.

Detective Sergeant Lynn Myles stated that inquiries are currently ongoing. Authorities are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the event or who possesses relevant private CCTV or dash-cam footage from Church View to contact Police Scotland. Information can be provided by calling 101, quoting incident 1914 of 11 December 2025, or anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.

Homeowners are encouraged to ensure all windows and doors are securely locked and to consider installing visible security measures to deter potential intruders.
