Armed intruders flee Brighton East home

According to an article published on 28 October 2025 by Nine, police are investigating a home invasion that occurred in Brighton East. Two masked offenders entered a residence on Arnold Road via a back door at approximately 1.30am.

Nine reports that the 76-year-old homeowner confronted the pair after being woken by the noise. One of the intruders, who was armed with a knife, demanded car keys from the resident. The homeowner refused and ordered the individuals to leave. Following the arrival of the resident's daughter and a call to emergency services, the offenders fled the scene empty-handed. Neither woman sustained physical injuries during the encounter.

Police are currently investigating a potential link between this incident and a subsequent break-in at a home in Clyde, which occurred one hour later. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and searching for a white 4WD vehicle observed near the scene. The offenders remain at large, and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
