Houston Man Arrested After Posing as U.S. Marshal in Attempted Liquor Store Robbery

HOUSTON, Texas — A Houston man has been taken into custody and faces serious charges after authorities say he attempted to commit a robbery while masquerading as a federal law enforcement officer outside a southwest Houston liquor store.

The incident occurred on June 30, 2025, near the intersection of Gessner Road and Harwin Drive—a bustling commercial district. According to police reports, the suspect approached a victim outside the retail establishment. In an effort to assert authority and facilitate the robbery, the suspect allegedly claimed to be an active U.S. Marshal. Witnesses and store employees alerted authorities as the situation unfolded.
