HPD Investigates Home Invasion Burglary and Kidnapping in Kaimuki

HONOLULU, Hawaii — The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) has launched an active investigation into a home invasion burglary and subsequent kidnapping that occurred in the residential neighborhood of Kaimuki. Authorities are currently searching for two unidentified suspects deemed potentially dangerous.

According to police reports, the incident took place on the morning of December 2, 2025. Two suspects forced entry into a dwelling in Kaimuki, confronting the occupants. During the course of the burglary, the suspects allegedly restrained and took a victim against their will before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.

HPD detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division are actively reviewing neighborhood surveillance footage and interviewing potential witnesses. The suspects are described as two adult males, last seen wearing dark clothing and facial coverings to obscure their identities. Details regarding the victim's current condition or any stolen property have not been fully released to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.
