Indianapolis man sentenced to 16 years for Muncie armed robbery

MUNCIE, Indiana — An Indianapolis man with a lengthy criminal history has been sentenced to 16 years in prison following his arrest and conviction for a violent armed robbery in Muncie.

The case began in September 2024, when the suspect, residing in Indianapolis, carried out an armed robbery at a local business in Muncie. According to police reports, the suspect brandished a firearm during the incident, threatening employees before fleeing the scene with cash and merchandise. The Muncie Police Department, acting on tips and surveillance footage, identified and arrested the suspect shortly after the robbery.
