Inglewood Man and Juvenile Suspect Arrested After High-Speed Police Chase in Adelanto

ADELANTO, Calif. — An Inglewood man is facing felony charges and a 17-year-old juvenile has been cited following a high-speed vehicle pursuit that tore through the streets of Adelanto after a burglary, sheriff's officials reported.

The incident began on June 12, 2026, when deputies responded to a reported residential burglary in Adelanto. Upon arrival, officers spotted a suspect vehicle leaving the area. When deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the driver refused to yield, triggering a high-speed pursuit. The driver fled through the city at high speeds, demonstrating a complete disregard for public safety as they attempted to evade law enforcement.

The chase eventually came to an end when deputies successfully stopped the vehicle and apprehended its occupants. The driver, identified as an adult male from Inglewood, was arrested on charges of burglary and felony evading. The passenger, a 17-year-old teenager, was cited for his involvement and subsequently released to the custody of his parents. The stolen property from the burglary was recovered from the vehicle and returned to the rightful owners.
