Desmond Michale Christopher Walmsley, 40, and Anthony Clarke, 27, are jointly charged with assaulting and threatening to kill a female, assaulting a male, and possession of a baseball bat and a Stanley knife as weapons.

It is alleged that the suspects threatened the couple regarding a previous police statement made concerning a theft at a local charity shop. Police detained the two men shortly after the encounter. Officers noted that Walmsley was wearing a stab vest at the time of his arrest. Both men remain in custody as legal proceedings continue.
